Spring Summer 2014 l Capsule Collection
About
This unit provided me with an opportunity to undertake a self-directed project that consolidates and extended my knowledge and skills. The project included planning, research, ideas development and recommendations, as well as, both - practical and theoretical elements. This unit allowed to develop entrepreneurship and creativity, whilst undertaking a project with a feasible and realistic commercial application.
The Context
After undertaking research into a fashion clothing market, such as high end luxury retail, or ‘fast fashion’; I was required to demonstrate the ability to design for a viable and realistic market, whilst developing innovative pieces.
The Task
The fashion industry has been revolutionized in recent years by the concept of the ‘brand’. My task was to come up with my own ‘brand’ and produce a report incorporating academic theory along with marketing activities that outlined my intentions.
The Result
As result of this unit I was able to demonstrate:
