JOHN LEWIS & CO. and LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION
COLLABORATION PROJECT
Included inter-course team work (Fashion Buying & Merchandising, Fashion Marketing & Promotion, Fashion Design & Marketing and Branding & Visual Merchandising). In theory, our role as designers, was to design and produce a minimum of 5 menswear garments that would fully transmit the "Best of British" theme, as well as attract a younger generation of fashionable british men. In practice, our actual responsibilities were much broader; in order to make sure that all of the elements withint the project corresponded sufficiently with design levels - I assisted the roles and responsibilities of other team members involved (15 in total) acting as one of the main decision makers, from the pricing of the garments, to the distribution channels, and manufacturing costs, all the way to the marketing campaign, visual display and merchandising within the store. This was a stressful, but a very rewarding experience.
